Special Events
NMC has several special events throughout the year to celebrate various Christian holidays.
Good Friday Service
We have a Good Friday Service every year to focus on Jesus’ sacrifice for us. The
service included worship, special music, a devotional, and a special time of Communion
Easter Sunday
Easter is the premier holiday in Christianity as we celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is always an exciting Sunday at NMC…
- 9:00 am – Easter Brunch in the Fellowship Hall
- 10:30 am – Easter Celebration in the Worship Center
- 12:00 noon – Easter Egg Hunt for the Kids all around the church grounds.
Mothers Day
We honor our Mom on Mother’s Day with a carnation delivered to them by their children
or husbands, and always accompanied with a kiss.
Fathers Day
We also honor or Dads on Father’s Day. No carnations, though. But we always
have a special gift for dad, too.
Family Camp
Every July, we spend an extended 4-day weekend at Woods Canyon Lake on the Mogollon Rim for a Family Camp. It is a lot of fun with horseshoes, corn-hole, bike-riding, hiking, fishing, an all-church picnic on Saturday, and lots of great fellowship and relationship.
Trunk-or-Treat
On Halloween night, from 6:30-8:00 pm, we line up our cars in the Parking Lot for a
Community “Trunk-or-Treat.” We also open our Café for snacks, drinks, and fellowship.
Thanksgiving Feast
On the Sunday before Thanksgiving, we celebrate with a Potluck Feast in the Fellowship
Hall following a special Thanksgiving Worship Service. There is always plenty of
traditional Thanksgiving food and great fellowship.
Christmas Services
In addition to a special Christmas Sunday Service, we always enjoy a Family Christmas Eve Candlelight Service every year. This is an opportunity for all our children to present some special music. Then following a Christmas devotional, we always close the service with a Candlelight Carol-Sing. It’s a highlight every year and a great way to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Café Nights
We occasionally have additional Special Events throughout the year, such as Concerts,
Illusionists, and Café Nights. They are all designed for you to invite your oikos.
